Larr Cemetery - A little nicer

Winnie Betsill came in the other day asking about information on the Larr Cemetery on Regional Parkway/Citadel Rd near the Cracker Barrell Restaurant.    She wanted to know if it was being cared for anymore.    She didn't know that not long ago a fence was put up around it and it has gravel and is adopted by the SCV.    I said I would stop by since it was near my house and see what was up.

When I got there, I found that the cemetery was a little neglected this year.   A new confederate flag had been erected on a 16' pole in the middle with a 3x5' flag, but the bottom grommet was loose, so the flag was flying like a rope, and the fence was covered by pretty green with reddish tinge vines, hiding all the nice green plastic (and the gate almost.)

I brought a ladder by a couple of days later, and fixed the flag, and spent about 20 minutes cutting the vines off of the fence.      Today, Curt Campbell came by and I mentioned it to him to mention to the SCV person who was responsible for the cemetery.    Curt went by later that day and replaced the small Confederate Flag, and now the cemetery looks much better from the outside (it still needs mowing/trimming on the inside.)
